SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Through its market-leading financial management solution, VisitPay, an R1 Company, is using software, data, and analytics to transform how hospitals help patients manage their healthcare expenses. The company is growing, and we are seeking a Sr. Product  Manager for our healthcare payment software application. The right candidate will have experience and expertise in the payment processing industry and with payment technologies as well as the ability to manage multiple partner company relationships in this space.  In addition, this person will manage other strategic partner relationships related to the VisitPay payment platforms. They should be familiar with building, monitoring and maintaining partner company relationships with a focus on quality and compliance. They should be adept at working with product management to help drive product development outcomes that leverage strategic partner capabilities.

 

KEY ACTIVITIES:

This person will collaborate with partner company leaders and teams as well as cross-functional internal teams to support product performance as it relates to payments and to drive innovation in patient and end user experience. To do so they should be adept at developing and sustaining long-standing relationships with strategic partner companies.  The candidate will assess and meet with partner companies on their products, determine pricing, inquire and inform on any partnership related concerns. The candidate will also implement and manage partner company selection and monitoring programs for the company. This person will work cross-functionally with all internal stakeholders to include, software development, client implementations, product management, analytics, client management, and executive leadership.  Additionally, this person will serve as the internal subject matter expert and consultant on the payment space.

  • Understanding of the payment processing industry and payment technologies and the downstream and upstream implications of partnerships within the industry.
  • Develop and sustain long term partner company relationships.
  • Able to meet with suitable potential partner companies to evaluate their products, inquire about their services, determine pricing and communicate any product or service-related requirements or concerns.
  • Ability to conduct market research on available partner companies to determine which are the right fit based on requirements, price and quality.
  • Identify new potential partner companies and/or market trends which may be of benefit to the company.
  • Ability to implement and manage partner company selection and monitoring programs to vet new partner companies and assess performance of existing partnerships.
  • Ability to partner and engage with a cross-section of people at multiple levels of the internal organization particularly the product organization. 
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.  Strong presentation skills. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 5+ years of experience as a partner company manager.
  • Experience partnering with stakeholders and partner companies to drive B2B relationships
  • Previous experience in payment technology and processing is required, additional experience in healthcare billing and/or consumer finance is a plus.

  • This position is based in our Boise, ID office or remote.
