Summary of Position:

The Business Analyst II, Product is a proven analytical problem solver who can bring definition to unstructured problems using SQL, web analytics, and other analysis tools on the path to understanding consumer adoption, engagement, and product feature value. Not only will they seek to deeply understand these dimensions, but they will also own projects that deliver increased profitability and patient satisfaction for VisitPay and its clients. The BAP is driven and willing to put in the extra time and effort required to drive the success of a growth company, yet also values and enjoys the flexible, casual environment we afford.


Core skills include understanding and identifying key business opportunities, developing analysis plans, assembling and synthesizing data using advanced SQL queries and web analytics tools, seamlessly integrating data into excel models and data visualization tools to deliver clear, crisp communication and recommendations.  The BAP both supports and leads efforts with members of our product, UI/UX, and analytics teams.


Key Activities:

  • Product Development – Support the product team, product development and product roadmap by assessing feature importance and value
  • Reporting Strategy – Partner with the product team to identify and implement the best tools and strategies to evaluate and respond to feature performance
  • Business Performance & Optimization – Assess and report on performance of products and services for VisitPay and its clients; drive profitability and patient satisfaction by developing and optimizing configurations, and other strategies

Required Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in a quantitative or analytic field; or a BA/BS in a non-quantitative field with other evidence of analytical experience and strength
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a demanding analytic environment with a high bar for analysis quality; track record of delivering results and driving impact
  • Demonstrated experience working on or closely with a Product Team
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Excel
  • Hands-on SQL experience required; must be able to write and review complex queries to support analysis and reporting
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Business Intelligence and Web Analytics tools

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a software environment
  • Consumer-facing software experience
  • Demonstrated ability to adopt a view through a product-focused lens
  • Experience in consumer payments market
